My name is Camie M. Anderson, and I’m a freelance artist based out of Spokane, WA. I travel around to various comic, anime and gaming conventions throughout the Pacific Northwest.  I chose the name Picture Purrfect Art for my business because it shows my commitment to putting out only the highest quality items, while also showing off both my love of cats, and horrible puns!  I’ve always loved to draw, but I didn’t start seriously trying to improve my skills until I was 12 and I met one of my current best friends. He was writing these amazing stories and illustrating the characters in them, and he was a huge inspiration to me.  I taught myself how to sew about five years ago because I wanted to make plushies of my favorite characters.  I started selling my art at a local convention (KuroNekoCon, then called OtakuCon) back in 2009, and I had no idea what I was doing! I’d never been to a convention before, and the table cost me $10, I made $5, and spent $15 at the table next to me.  It was rather discouraging, but I’m very stubborn and I kept selling at KuroNekoCon, and in 2012 I branched out selling at other conventions in the Pacific Northwest.  I now make my living selling at conventions and online, and I absolutely love it.  Knowing that I’m doing what I love to make money is great, but being able to make other people smile with something I made is the best feeling in the world.
